Jahiz Analytics collects only what it needs to run karate performance analytics: your account details, the athlete and match data you enter, and basic app diagnostics. We use it to power your analytics — we do not sell your data. You can request your data or delete your account from inside the app.
About this policy
Jahiz Analytics ("Jahiz", "we", "us") is a karate performance analytics app for coaches and athletes. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The service is operated by Jahiz Analytics, Cairo, Egypt.
Account information
When you create an account we store your name, email address, account type (coach or athlete), country, and preferred language. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a basic profile and email from that provider to create your account.
Athlete & player profiles
Coaches can create athlete and player profiles containing details such as name, gender, category, and weight class. Athletes maintain a single personal profile. Please enter only the information you genuinely need for training and competition records.
Match, event & tournament data
We store the matches, scoring events, penalties, encounters, teams, and tournaments you log. This is the core record that makes performance analytics possible, and it is linked to your account.
Performance analytics
We derive performance metrics — such as scoring efficiency, attack and defense patterns, and trends — from the data you enter. These insights are generated to support your own review and coaching decisions.
Device & app diagnostics
To keep the app stable we process basic technical information such as app version, device type, and error logs. Sentry is used for error monitoring and diagnostics. This helps us diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
Payments & subscriptions
Payments are not enabled during the beta, so we do not collect payment details at this time. If paid plans are introduced later, payment processing will be handled by a third-party provider and this policy will be updated before any charge.
How we use your data
We use your data to operate the app, generate your analytics, sync your records across your devices, provide support, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing & processors
We share data only with service providers that help us run the app: DigitalOcean and PostgreSQL infrastructure host the backend and database; Google and Apple provide optional sign-in; Sentry processes error diagnostics; and Firebase Hosting delivers public legal and verification pages. We do not share your data for advertising.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal information is removed or anonymized; some records may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form, or where required for legal, security, or audit purposes.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account from Settings → Account Actions → Delete account, or contact us to make a request.
Children & minor athletes
Karate athletes may be minors. Coaches and guardians are responsible for having the authority and consent needed before entering a minor's data, and for limiting it to what is necessary. See our Children & Minor Athlete Data Notice for details.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where this happens, we take steps intended to provide a level of protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as the service or its data practices change. We will publish the updated version here and revise the effective date before the changes take effect.
